The waste management license issued by the National Center for Waste Management (MWAN) regulates the collection, transport, and treatment of waste in a safe and sustainable way that protects both the environment and public health. Licensing requirements vary by activity type: waste management service providers need an MWAN license (and sometimes NCEC accreditation too), while waste-generating facilities need an NCEC environmental permit and a contract with an MWAN-licensed service provider for disposal.
